Las Vegas: For those of you living in Las Vegas or the Ely clan visiting Vegas, you are welcome to join Steve MacMillan's Wednesday night tasting sessions at Lee's Discount Liquor Store on W. Lake Mead. Every Wednesday at 7pm there is a new tasting of selected beers. Admission is free.

January 19-20, 2008: Cave Lake State Park Fire & Ice Show
"The
32-acre reservoir
at Cave Lake State Park is popular for trout fishing, crawdadding,
boating, hiking, picnicking and camping. Perched in the middle of the
Schell Creek Range, adjacent to the Humboldt National Forest at an
elevation of 7,300 feet, the park offers outstanding scenic views and
opportunities for nature study and photography. Facilities include
campgrounds, picnic areas, hiking trails and a boat launch. Winter
sports such as ice fishing, cross-country skiing and ice skating are
also available. Snow sculpting is becoming a popular activity, and the
White Pine Fire & Ice Show is the premier winter event in the

White Pine Brewing Company has been involved in the event for the last
three years and sponsored the Grand Finale Firework Show for 2007 in
addition to offering concessions on the ice while event participants
are sculpting their snow and ice masterpieces. We offer warming tents
with refreshments and a place to thaw out. 2008 marks the fourth
annual Fire & Ice Event at the park. An informational video clip

May 30, 2008: Engagement Announcement
Wedding bells rang for Diane M. Kirby & Stephen R. MacMillan. A small intimate evening wedding was held at Cave Lake State Park.
July 4, 2008: Ely Renaissance Society Annual Antique Auction & Open House
"The Ely Renaissance Society represents an organized community effort
to bring about the introduction of culture and fine art into the
community of Ely, Nevada. Formed in 1999, the Renaissance Society is
proud to have financed over twenty outdoor murals and sculptures in our
11 block downtown area. Artists from all over the world were brought
in to create images of our history using a variety of different art
